Devoted supporter of the performing arts since his youth, Denis Bergeron pursued a management career in the field ofmaritime transportation for nine years before jumping in the arts. In 1988, he decided to follow a new career as a semi-professional dancer when he was a scholarship student at the School of Les Ballets Jazz de Montréal. In 1989, his combined management and dance experience led to a grant in ArtistManagement and Tour Direction, from the Canada Council for the Arts, to learn all aspects of company administration and touring management. Later on, he became an independent Agent/Manager for many Canadian dance artists. He booked tours in Canada, the United States, Europe and Asia. He often acted as a liaison between the dance companies and various government agencies and numerous Canadian Embassies /Consulates and Quebec’s Delegations abroad. Denis Bergeron has been intimately involved in New Moves Across Europe (dance festival in Scotland), was a member of the Artistic council of the 1998 Rencontres chorégraphiques internationales Seine-Saint-Denis (Dance festival in France) and member of the Regroupement Québecois de la danse where he was a member of the Executive for a two year term (1994-1996). He has been Director of Touring & Guest Companies at Les Grands Ballets Canadiens (1998-2000); worked as freelancer as Contract Administrator /Production Coordinator for the Montreal International Jazz Festival, Les FrancoFolies de Montréal and Montreal Highlights Festival (2001-2007). In between festivals, he worked as Booking Manager for the chamber orchestra Les Violons du Roy of Québec City (2002-2003) and Interim Managing Director of the Margie Gillis Dance Foundation (aug. 06/jan. 07).From September 2007 to December 2010, he held the position of Director of the booking consortium ART CIRCULATION for the companies Cas Public, Danse-Cité, Louise Bédard Danse, Montréal Danse and PPS Danse.

Since May 2011, Denis Bergeron is consultant and trainer for different organizations such as the music ensemble Constantinople, dance company Mayday (Melanie Demers), the Regroupement québecois de la danse, the international performing arts conference CINARS and Pont Bridge (Carole Nadeau)
